What kind of a mom am I? I'm the kind that can't remember to bring a camera anywhere or take pictures of anything!
Since my blog is supposed to be a bit of a chronicle of our family life, that gives me two choices:
1. Don't blog
2. Blog without pictures
So, this blog is without pictures.
Jessica participated in her school play this year "Alice in Wonderland". Do you think I got one picture of her on stage or in her costume? NO, NO, NO. She was a rock lobster. This was such a cute play. Jessica just loved it!
Rylee did a great little school project on Africa. She even called her granny who went on a mission to Africa to see if she would send a few trinkets to add to the display. Rylee got a 98%. Do you think I got one picture of it? NO, NO, NO.
We have had a lot of rain this month. Almost everyday we have had rain. The girls are tired of it, I am tired of it, Marty is tired of it. On Sunday the girls asked if they could go play in the rain. I agreed. Out they went in the torrential down pour. Do you think I got one picture? NO, NO, NO. But this time, I actually tried, but it didn't work. Darn it!
Yesterday was Memorial Day. My in-laws came from Utah. Many of you know that my husband is an excellent cook. He has one specialty that isn't well known, but it is my father-in-law's favorite. RIBS! It takes Marty 2 days to make ribs, but boy are they good. Since the in-laws had driven for days to get here, Marty decided to cook up 6 racks of baby back ribs. The spread for dinner last night was spectacular. Ribs, grilled corn, baked beans, coleslaw, & pasta salad. Do you think I got one picture of the pile of ribs, the full grill, the BBQ sauce stained faces, or the full tummies? NO, NO, NO
Since it's not January, I can't set a new years resolution, so maybe I'll call this a summer resolution. I will work to take more pictures of the little things in life, the things that I want to remember when I'm old and can't remember any more. Life is made up of the little moments and I have got to be better to capture them.

Ribs? I LOVE ribs. I am so totally jealous. Here you got the brother who makes yummy ribs and I got the brother who refuses to eat ANYTHING that has a bone in it! Go figure. :)
Oh I'm so craving ribs right now reading this just sent me over the edge!! :) I think we need to see more pictures of YOU behind the wheel of your new car!!!!
I totally understand about the picture thing - I seem to do that a lot too. I've been thinking about getting a new camera, but wonder if it will be worth the money if I never use it!
what the?? and I wasn't even invited? this saddens me... it really does :)
I'm glad you had a good time!
Sounds WONDERFUL!!! I'm pretty much the opposite in camera usage. . .my husband accuses me of being the poparazzi(sp?)!! Maybe get a little camera that fits easily in your purse and leave it there all the time! :) Good luck.
Sounds like a fun month. Remembering to take pictures just takes some consistent practice. You can do it! =)
i WISH i HAD THAT PROBLEM! i TAKE WAY TOO MANY PHOTOS- SOMETIMES 75-100 IN A DAY. nOT THAT OUR LIFE IS ALL THAT INTERESTING BUT OUR CAMERA IS SUPER SLOW, WHICH MAKES IT HARD TO CATCH THE KIDS SMILE. aNYHOW, I HOPE YOUR GOAL OF TAKING MORE PICS GOES WELL. yOU CERTAINLY HAVE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS TO TAKE PICTURES OF :)
Sometimes you just have to live life, instead of recording it!
