A very spoiled mommy!

I’ve always thought my kids are spoiled, but today I discovered that it is me that is spoiled.

I got to sleep in until 8:00 this morning. I know for some people, that wouldn’t be sleeping in, but for me, that’s an extra three hours. Then Marty made me a ham and egg breakfast sandwich for breakfast! It’s one of my favorites.

Marty offered to take the girls Mother’s Day shopping last week, but they said they had it covered already. Boy, were they right!

Rylee made me this cute candy bar poster (made with 9 sheets of paper glued together since the dollar store was out of poster board. She’s creative!)

It reads (spelled just like she wrote it): Dear, Mom, You’re the best. You make me “ROLO” over and laphy. You diserve a trip to New “YORK”. You’re a “STARBURST”. Your werth “100 GRAND”. Your breath is all ways “3 MUSKETEERS MINT” (mint) fresh. You neve have “BUTTERFINGER”S. Your as sweet as a “HEATH” bar. Love Rylee P.S. You’re a “JELLY BELLY”

Jessica wrote me a letter and framed it to hang on the wall. (Sorry for the blurry picture)
“Dear Mommy,

Every single daughter out there has told their moms that they are the best mom ever. Sadly, they all lied. There is not a single mom out there who can top you. You are always loving, unbelievably fun, and extremely supportive. I am lucky to have you as my mom. I could not think of a better mother that a lucky girl like me could have.

One of my favorite qualities that you have is that you are affectionate. I remember a few years ago, on the Saturday night before Easter, I felt horribly sick, so you let me sleep in your bed and cuddled me all night long. I also appreciate how every evening you come in and kiss me good night. It might be just a little thing, but it is one of my favorites.

I also enjoy your fun gaiety attitude. I will never forget the time you and I went to the candy factory when I was little. It was one of the most enjoyable experienced of my life. You are also always letting me throw fun parties and all my friends love to hang around you.

Besides being devoted and fun-loving, you are also amazingly supportive. When I told you that I wanted to be a vet when I grew up, you told me to go for it because you knew I could do it. Whenever I wanted to quit you would tell me to hang in there because it would all be okay in the end. You also support me in everything I do now. Almost every day you come and pick me up from play practice and you will never know how much I appreciate it.

Mom, you mean the world to me. You are the love and light of my life. If there was one thing I could let you know, it would be that I cherish every waking moment I get to spend with you. If I could change anything about you it would be, who am I kidding, you are already perfect. I love you.

Love,

Jessica”

Talk about water works. What mom wouldn’t cry through that?

Addyson made me some cute bath salts and bubble bath in this darling bucket.

She knows how much I like my baths. She even threw in a few candles for me.

Marty found this darling box of chocolates.

He knows I LOVE chocolate! Can you believe how cut this box is? I’m already planning how to quickly eat the chocolates so that I can use the box for another purpose.

Marty is currently in the kitchen preparing vegetable lasagna for dinner. A whole day of mom’s favorite things. I truly am spoiled!

I hope that everyone had as wonderful of a Mother’s day as I am having!
