As a follow up from Camp, the bishopric has asked Jessica to speak in church this Sunday about her experiences at camp. She informed Buck (the one who asked her to speak) that this would be the best talk ever given by a beehive. We encouraged her to keep the talk along the spiritual side and not talk only about the swimming and jewelry making. I had her brainstorm all the different activities that they did and what she learned from each. We then found the 7 purposes of camp. She was then able to map out her talk.
Marty and I went to dinner for date night and came home to a complete talk written in Jessica's own words. I am very impressed. When did my little girl turn into a young woman? It's hardly fair.
I do have to share one funny thing she wrote. This isn't to tease her, but so that we can remember this for years to come. It was sooooo cute. She wasn't sure how to spell bishopric, so it came out "bishop brick". Every bishropric that I've ever known has been so strong, that they probably were built from bricks.

Bishp brick is too funny! The terms we use in our religion are quite strange to try and figure out- we have sealings not ceilings, stakes not steaks, why wouldn't we have a bishop brick instead of Bishopric?! I'm so excited you have a blog- they are very time consuming, but so much FUN!
You must be a proud mama. I love her haircut. It definatley makes her look grown up.
