Addyson has had several callings before in the YW organization, but yesterday was different. She was called as the assistant branch organist. When did my little girl get old enough to have a branch calling? They set her apart as the Laurel president and the organist at the same time. I am so proud of her. She has worked so hard to learn to play the organ. Her skills have progressed so much. I know they will continue to get stronger as she practices and plays in sacrament meeting.
Thank you Cori and President Jarvis for not letting her age stand in the way of this great blessing.

Very impressive. Way to go Addy--pass along my congratulations (or condolences...ha ha...) I wish she had been interested all those years I was playing. :) The more she practices and plays for the congregation the better she'll get so it is great that she will have the ability to do that. And, there aren't many people who know how to play the organ so it is a good skill to have.
Also, I gave Cori one of my organ books a few years ago (it is the book they use in the beginning organ classes at BYU). It's really helpful and Addy might find that useful to help learn how to play the pedalboard correctly, do finger substitutions, determine the proper registration, etc. if Cori knows where the book is at.
So excited for her to build this talent! Way to go Addy! Lol at Rachel - I'm sure I still have the book - I'll pass it on to Addy.
