I have sinned!

Ok, so it's not a major sin, but it's definately a sin.  Gluttony.  My previous post was about all the baking that I did yesterday.  Sadly, this wasn't for a catering event, or to freeze.  This was just for our family to eat.

  • 27 no bake cookies - for the youth fireside - so not actually a sin
  • 12 cinnamon rolls - because I had leftover dough from the breakfast rolls below - so thrifty - not actually a sin
  • 11 stuffed hard rolls - dinner - so not actually a sin
  • 11 stuffed breakfast rolls - these will feed my family all week, so not actually a sin either
  • 1 pan brownie bars - pure evil, sin filled deliciousness - this is definately where the sinning comes in.

So, to ease myself of the burden of being a sinner, I would like to tempt you to be a sinner too!  If you were in RS yesterday, you received this recipe from Sister Olsen.

1 stick butter
1 boxed brownie mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup coconut
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup pecans

Preheat oven to 350.  Melt butter in 13x9 pan.  Sprinkle dry brownie mix over butter.  Drizzle milk overtop.  Sprink with coconut, chocolate chips, and pecans.  Lightly press toppings into milk.  Bake for 20-25 minutes or until coconut is golden brown.

This is now a family favorite.  It does stick a bit to the bottom of the pan, but worth the digging.  I think I ate half the pan myself.  Hope you will join me in my sinning :)

Actually, this wasn't sinning--it was just helping you to keep your New Year's resolution of eating some chocolate every day. :) Wow, you have been busy at your house! Yeah, that brownie bars recipe looked great and I almost made them yesterday as well. Now that you have attested to how great they are, I may have to whip up a batch sometime soon. :)

Gotta try that recipe out! Yes, sounds too sinful! :)
It was a great lesson! Its always nice when our cooking or baking lasts days or a couple of meals & not just one. :)
