During the end of February and the first of March our family seemed to get more than our fair share of challenges and trials. Over that time frame I often got discouraged with the continual increase in trials. I would plead with the Lord to take the burden’s away, but they just seemed to multiply.

During the general YW’s conference the spirit was so strong. I had a great realization. It was time to end the pity party. Christ suffered so much more that I ever had. These trials were to make me stronger and teach me the lessons I needed to be more like Him.

Since that realization, the trials haven’t changed. They are still in my daily life. However, my attitude towards them has changed. The following song has run through my mind a lot over the past 6 weeks.

When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,

Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
