My girls really wanted to do a New Years Eve party. I agreed to it.There were a total of 12 friends, plus my three daughters that came over. The girls just wanted to eat junk food and watch movies. Boy that makes a party easy. We moved two mattresses into the family room and the girls just crashed there.

About 10 minutes before midnight we turned on the regular TV to watch the ball drop in Time Square in New York. I had bought party hats, horns, and confetti poppers to help us bring in the new year.

After what seemed like 5 straight minutes of horn blowing and screaming, I invited each of the girls into the dinning room for a New Years toast. I got out the fancy glasses and we had Shirley Temples. The girls thought that was a lot of fun.

We then got everyone settled down for the night. I was pretty impressed. Everyone was in bed by 12:25. I asked the girls to set the sleep timer on the TV and went off to bed.

I apologize to any of the parents that had grumpy girls today. A few of the girls decided that they were going to pull an all nighter. They finally gave out between 4 and 5 and got a few hours of sleep. We had so much fun bringing in the New Year!

Cherish the days when your girls only want girls at their parties :)
