Baking by numbers

Today was a big cooking day for our family:

27 no bake cookies
12 cinnamon rolls
11 stuffed hard rolls
11 stuffed breakfast rolls
1 pan brownie bars

I'm bummed that I didn't take pictures of any of them, but it's hard to not eat all the deliciousness.

How did this happen?

On a snowy night in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a beautiful little angel completed our family.

Over the years she grew and grew.

When did she change from a cute little munchkin to a beautiful young woman??

Today is her 12th birthday.  No more little frilly dresses and big hair bows.  No more primary.  We are on to bigger and better thing!

Friday night she had a few friends over for a party.  The girls seemed to really enjoy themselves.  We started with a pizza dinner, pillow case decorating and a chocolate fountain.  I didn't remember to take pics of the girls while they were decorating their cases, but did get the finished results.  I think they all did a super job!  Chocolate fountain was messy, but delicious, as always.

And, the aftermath!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYLEE!!!!  I'm looking forward to the next 12 years.  I hope they are as fun as the last 12 years.

Perception or reality?

This set of pictures tells quite the story.  I snagged this from someone else and just loved it.

How often do we feel as though the Lord isn't protecting us and leaving us to our own.  If we could only truly see how much protection we are granted through Him.  Always remember when the small pieces come by and whack us on the head that they could have been boulders.
